The Song is based on a spiritual philosophy called “The Song,” which is about a deeper song of creation that we are all connected to. It believes that song and sound are intrinsic aspects of creation and thus our birthright. The more we tend to the relationship of our own song and that of those around us, the more in tune we become with life. This portion of the class is taught through storytelling, questions, prompts, and exercises.

In The Song, we will explore:

A blueprint for the creative process through

  • Storytelling

  • Discussions

  • Examples & Prompts

  • Creative transmissions & Insights

Practical skills

  • Song structure

  • Instruments, technology, & recording

  • Lyrics and melody

  • Sharing and Performing.

I have been writing, performing, and sharing songs since I was thirteen years old. I have recorded and produced two albums, with more on the way. Give my music a listen!

I have attended numerous programs, including the Berklee College of Music Summer Program, The Living Song, and the Siren to the Sea Songwriting Course, and private study.

I have taught The Song five different times over the last few years. I absolutely love supporting others in finding their voice and personal style of writing.
